Sophia

Junior Technician

Sophia has known she wants to work in the veterinary field since she was four years old. She spent her childhood checking out all the animal books she could get her hands on from the library and spent hours learning about dogs, cats, horses, rodents, and wild animals. She started her own homemade dog treat business and a pet sitting business in middle school. Sophia volunteered at various animal shelters and events, taking every chance she could get to work with animals. She spent a couple years working at a doggy daycare and loved all the chaos and joy it brought.

Before making the move out to Jacksonville with her fluffy orange kitty, Oscar, Sophia lived in Portland, Oregon (where she was born and raised) and had spent a year abroad studying in Europe. She has a 16 year old cat, Daisy, and a 13 year old dog named Bo (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) back home. Bo has diabetes and Sophia has spent the last few years helping her stay as healthy as she can. She is so excited to be here on this new adventure working with incredible people who adore animals as much as she does. In her spare time, Sophia loves going to the beach (swimming in the ocean isn’t something she could really do back home!), writing and recording her own songs, traveling the world, listening to Taylor Swift, and loving on her cat and her roommate’s dogs, Birdie (Brittany Spaniel) and Theo (English Pointer).

Naomi

Naomi grew up on her family farm in oceanway.

Her love for animals began at age 6 when she got her first horse, Joe. From then on she knew she always wanted to work with animals. She got her first job at a horse farm in 2006 and has worked with horses ever since. She also spent time working in dog boarding and pet sitting. She has a passion for animal rescue as well.
